The Southcoast of Massachusetts is a hidden gem! Westport is a beautiful coastal farming town and one of our favorite spots is Gooseberry Island. The sunsets there are spectacular to see and the walking trails along the island are a feast for the senses. Horseneck Beach is right near Gooseberry Island with wooden walkways traversing gorgeous sand dune scapes. If you love handcrafted coffees and homemade pastries, stop in at Gray’s Daily Grind on your way to anything in Westport! Local tip: If you happen to be driving in Westport right before dusk, watch for deer in the farm fields as they are quite common in the area and lovely to see. The quaint area of Padanaram Village in South Dartmouth offers beautiful ocean harbor and bridge views as well as upscale cafes and charming shops to wander through. Enjoying a coffeehouse beverage and wandering this very scenic area is time well spent on an autumn day. (312 Elm Street, South Dartmouth is a good reference point for GPS to bring you to the center of the Village) History buffs may enjoy the old town area of nearby New Bedford, the largest fishing port in the USA outside of Alaska. With its original cobblestone streets dotted with nice cafes, the New Bedford Whaling Museum, and Seaman’s Bethel, you’ll feel transported back to the past. New Bedford has a busy coastline where you can drive around to see the massive amounts of active deep sea fishing vessels. The Dartmouth Nature Resources Trust (DNRT) preserves so many beautiful wilderness areas in Dartmouth, each with their own unique features and well maintained trails. Please note: most beaches in the Southcoast area do not require town stickers nor fees to park, and allow leashed dogs, after Labor Day. Of course, note any signage saying differently.
Please RSVP by September 21st
We are requesting that guests do not take photos during the ceremony and to simply enjoy this special time with us!
