Welcome Party: For the welcome party, guests are encouraged to wear resort/tropical formal and can wear more casual and comfortable attire with a blend of Indian and American styles. Men can wear a casual blazer with a dress shirt and jeans or chinos. Women can wear a dress with Indian/tropical inspired patterns and colors and accessorize with jewelry or can opt for a flowy maxi dress or a jumpsuit. Bright, Mexican or tropical-inspired colors will be best suited for this event! Sangeet: For the sangeet, guests are encouraged to wear Indian formal attire, American formal optional. Men can wear a kurta with dress pants, or a suit with an Indian-inspired design. Women can wear a salwar kameez, lehenga choli, saree, or a dress with embellishments. It's important to wear comfortable footwear since there will be a lot of dancing! Ceremony: For the ceremony, guests are encouraged to wear formal Indian attire, but American suits are acceptable as well. For Indian attire, men can wear a sherwani or a kurta pyjama with a stole. Women can wear a saree, lehenga choli, or a salwar kameez with dupatta. Wearing red is discouraged since the color is reserved for the wedding party. Reception: For the reception, guests can choose between formal Indian or formal American attire. Men can wear a suit, either more traditional or with an Indian-inspired design, or perhaps a sherwani. Women can wear a saree or a gown with Indian-inspired designs. It’s important to note that the reception is separate from the wedding ceremony and traditionally there is an outfit change between events. Wearing red is discouraged since the color is reserved for the bride and groom.
