At Last!

We met years before actually dating. Two of our closest friends were married and we would attend a lot of parties and BBQ's at their house. At their final house party before moving to Wisconsin, we were chatting about Spain because I had an upcoming trip planned and he'd already been. He asked me to send some pictures of Barcelona since he never made it to that part of the country.....I didn't even realize the actual interest was ME and not Barcelona!

Our first date was at Pittsford Pub. We were going to meet for a drink. I sat at the bar waiting and wondering if he would ever show up or if this was the worst April Fools ever. He drove past the pub at least five times before he actually found it. Once we were finally together we really hit it off. To this date he still remembers what I was wearing and even framed our receipt. Best First and Last Date Ever!

After a full day of Black Friday Shopping, I called home to see if EJ needed anything. He said no, but was acting really weird. He said him and the kids were busy and he had to go. I came home to find EJ, Jada, and Jenna all acting really strange. I was tired, brushed it off, and just went to say hello to baby Aubrey. While I was in the living room playing with the Aubrey, Jenna came in and handed me the phone. Jenna said, "Here I think you are going to need this." Not even a minute later both Jada and Jenna told me that I needed to go in the kitchen and look at something. They dragged me to the window to see EJ downstairs in the yard (in a pile of snow) on one knee. He painted in red, "Marry Me?". Instead of screaming "YES" out of the window and scaring the kids, I gave a thumbs up and waived him in out of the cold. We met at the bottom of the stairs where he placed the ring on my finger.
