In 1993, God brought together two young children through the sport of Track and Field in the City of Philadelphia’s Public League. What began as a shared love for the sport quickly formed into a friendship that carried them through their high school years. As the late 1990s ushered in college life and the challenges of young adulthood, their paths diverged, each believing they understood what life had in store. Yet, God’s plan was far greater than either could imagine. Through seasons of trials, triumphs, growth, and reflection, their journeys unfolded—sometimes near, sometimes far—but always under His guidance. From time to time, their paths would cross again, gentle reminders that their story was still being written. As their twenties turned into their thirties, they began to reconnect more meaningfully, still learning, still growing, still becoming who God was shaping them to be. And in their forties, God’s divine purpose came full circle. Their separate journeys led them back to one another—this time with clarity, maturity, and a love rooted deeply in faith. What once felt like a missing piece was finally made whole. Now, through God’s grace and perfect timing, they are blessed to form a union this June—one that nothing can break—giving Him all the glory for a love that waited, endured, and was destined from the very beginning.
