I met Rashaad, better known as Dread, when I was 18. What started as a barber/client relationship quickly turned into a genuine friendship. Side note: We call him Dread because he used to have dreads. LOL On a serious note, he’s always been like a big brother to me, guiding me in the right direction. He’s been there through the ups and downs and every major life moment. He was there to pick me back up when life dealt me its worst cards and tried to knock me down. It was only right to have him as my best man.

Beneath that tough exterior is someone who loves deeply, protects fiercely, and always shows up when it matters most. She’s been a constant in my life, through every phase and every challenge. During our early childhood she made me play with her fried Charlie, even though I really didn't want to, and would argue with me about Red Light, Green Light… even though she's still mad she lost.... but here we are today, still laughing about the good ol' past while embracing the future. Choosing her as my Matron of Honor was easy, because no matter what, she’s my sister and she's going to always stand by my side.

Tejuan is someone who genuinely wants to see you win in every aspect of life. He’s not a gatekeeper, he’s the type to teach you how to fish so you can succeed on your own. He’s helped put me in a position to provide for my family and has had my back through it all. There have been times I’ve leaned on him and even cried on his shoulder, and he never judged me, he just lifted me up and pushed me forward. He truly fits the role of a best man, and I'm proud to have him stand beside me as I step into this next chapter of my life.

I could honestly write a book about her because she has been one of the most genuine, selfless, and supportive people in my life. She’s been there for me through my highest moments and has shown up even stronger during my lowest, always going above and beyond without ever needing to be asked. During the heartbreaking loss of my granddad, she stood by my side every step of the way with love, strength, and unwavering support. She has exceeded every role a bride could ever need from a friend, which is why she deserves to step into the role of Matron of Honor, because she has truly earned it in every way possible.

No one knows more of my secrets than my bestie. We’ve been locked in for over 20 years, so I already know everything is safe with her forever. I was there for her big day, and it means everything to me that she’s here for mine.

D’Myron, better known as Kat, is more than my best friend he’s my brother. We’ve grown up together, been through highs and lows together, and built a bond that time could never break. Everywhere I go, people naturally ask, “Where Kat at?” because they’re so used to seeing us side by side. We’ve shared too many memories and too many battles for him not to stand with me on one of the most important days of my life.

Zuraunte is like the little brother I never knew I needed. Somehow, whenever life gets heavy or I need someone to talk to, he always seems to show up at the right time without me even having to call. No matter how big or small the obstacle is, he’s always willing to help me work through it and make sure I’m good. A lot of people may think he’s tough or intimidating at first, but once you truly get to know him, you quickly realize he’s one of the most down-to-earth, genuine, and easygoing people you could ever meet.

James “JJ” Carter is the definition of strength, loyalty, and real brotherhood. We met back in 2021 in Houston, and ever since then he’s been more than a friend he’s truly been family. Honestly, he played a huge role in why I even pursued Tanoia, and for that I’ll always be grateful. No matter the situation, whether it’s life advice, legal advice, or just needing someone to keep it real with me, he’s always one phone call away with wisdom and support.

Shonte is the definition of dependable. I always describe him as a Swiss Army knife because there’s truly nothing he can’t do. He’s resourceful, versatile, and the kind of person who can fix a problem before you even finish explaining it. Whether I need help figuring something out, fixing something, or just someone to talk things through with, he’s always there with solutions and support. One thing I’ve never had to question is his loyalty. Knowing I have someone that genuine in my corner means a lot to me, and I couldn’t imagine celebrating this moment without him beside me.
