FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than March 31st

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We suggest arriving 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony (so 3:30 PM).

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is dressy casual, so please feel free to wear what you will be most comfortable in!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We provided everyone a plus one that is in a relationship (that we know of), and you can RSVP for yourself and your date using the RSVP link on our website. If you need a plus one added, please reach out to Becky and she will work with you.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. There is a small parking lot near the town buildings, and you can also park on Lake street. Please avoid the Plum Lake Drive entrance (it will be closed off during our ceremony, and re-opened during the reception).

Question

Do you have room blocks reserved?

Answer

Unfortunately, many of the hotels in the area wouldn't do room blocks due to our wedding being in peak tourist season. Please view our Travel page for suggestions of places to stay in the area. We suggest booking early, as accommodations fill fast up in the Northwoods!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Your kids are as much a part of our family as you are. We are excited to see your whole family. There is even a park nearby for kids to enjoy during the cocktail hour, if you wish.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! Please view our registry using the tabs above. Our most preferred gift is a financial gift to our honeymoon fund, but we have a wide range of gifts available to choose from if you would like to give us a gift.

Question

COVID-19

Answer

Our wedding and reception will both be outdoors, unless rain forces us indoors. We will not be requiring masks, but please feel free to wear one if you feel more comfortable/safe. If you or your kids feel sick near the date or on the day of our wedding, we ask that you stay home as we have some immunocompromised guests that will be attending.

Question

Where will the ceremony take place?

Answer

Our ceremony will be taking place in a grassy area near the outdoor pavilion. There will be chairs for guests. It will be grass, so careful with the heels ladies!

Question

Where will the reception take place?

Answer

The reception will be held at the outdoor pavilion. We will be seated at picnic tables. Due to the outdoor/laid back nature we cannot guarantee booster seats or high chairs for the little ones.

Question

What kind of food will you have?

Answer

We are having our wedding catered by a local favorite, Wild Turkey! We will have pulled pork sandwiches, a potato side, macaroni and cheese, and cornbread. For dessert we will have an assorted dessert bar.

Question

Who is officiating the ceremony?

Answer

Pastor Bill Trosien, Becky's childhood pastor and retired LCMS pastor, will be officiating the ceremony.
