Buc-ee's
For our own of town guests - if you choose to fly into Dallas, we highly recommend stopping at the gem of the south BUC-EE'S (Exit 498) not only to fill up on gas, but to grab some snacks, drinks, stretch your legs and use their famously clean bathrooms. We know it might be silly to have a "gas station" as a recommended stop, but trust us when we say Buc-ee's is so much more than your average gas station. The Groom recommends you try the Beaver Nuggets
Torchy's Tacos
This is our favorite taco spot - if you go, you MUST try their chips and Queso and let us know what you think! The Bride recommends The Trailer Park Taco, tell them to "Make it Trashy"
Tyler State Park
Tyler State Park features a cool, 64-acre spring-fed lake, 100-foot tall trees, and historic structures. Play at the lake, wet a hook, wander through the woods, or relax with your binoculars. You will love this peaceful get-away in Northeast Texas! At Tyler State Park, you can boat, fish, swim in the lake, hike, mountain bike, picnic, geocache, camp, bird watch and study nature. Whether you visit for an afternoon or a weekend, you will find plenty to do here.
Tyler Rose Garden
This world-famous Rose Garden features 14 acres, thousands of rose bushes, and more than 300 varieties of roses & 600 beds. Special areas of interest include the Idea Garden, Heritage Garden, and camellia and day lily collections. The Rose Garden is open from dawn until dark, seven days a week, and admission is free. The Pink Pistol, a Miranda Lambert inspired lifestyle boutique, is a chandelier lined explosion of sparkly, quirky fun that features kitschy gifts, knickknacks & logo souvenirs of all types “for the wild at heart”. Stroll though the store’s themed areas for fashionable finds like embellished vintage tees, fringed & sequined everything, jewelry junction, unique boutique finds & cowboy boots including those from Miranda’s new Idyllwind line! Step into the Hemingway Tasting Room, the richly decorated wine bar managed by Rick & Bev Lambert, to enjoy wine tastings from Red 55 Winery, Lambert’s brand of wines. Enjoy Ol’ Fashioned Sodas from pink glittered bar-stools serving up ice cream floats, fountain drinks and Miranda’s original Pink Pistol Signature Drink in a souvenir cup while you capture your visit at one of our many photo op spaces & upload to our slide show or your socials.
