It was a late night in December at a local spot downtown. Those close to Tanner know that he isn't really the going out type, more of a quiet, night-in homebody. But by chance, or fate, he was out with friends that particular night and happened upon me. He was intrigued by the conversation he overheard me having with a friend, and stuck around the whole night to hear more of my silly antics. To be honest I don't even think he said goodbye to his friends (shout out to Hannah & Pretzel! Without y'all, we may have never met! 💕) I may have done some online research to locate his identify in the days after we met, since he left me with nothing but a hug goodbye and his name. Good thing my sleuthing skills are so great!
It was just another Saturday adventure - heading up to Grandfather Winery in Boone for some of our favorite wine. Tanner suggested we head up since we'd been talking about it for weeks and it was a beautiful day. We sipped in the sunshine and listened to some live music with Hunter, just enjoying the day ☀️ On the way home, Tanner proposed taking the parkway and while the views are breath-taking, the turns aren't always agreeable with my tummy. We stopped at overviews that weren't very impressive, but hit the jackpot with our last stop at Price Lake. There were dozens of tadpoles at the water's edge, and I had to catch one. In the middle of trying to catch giant tadpoles in my hands, I turned around to see...you know the rest! 🤍
