Are Kids Allowed?

Answer

Absolutely! There will likely be about 25-30 kids at our wedding. We are debating having a kids specific area for the reception... Stay tuned. If you know a good babysitter in the area please let us know. Want to bring grandma along to stay in the cabin with you? Go for it!

Question

This is an outdoor wedding, what if it rains?

Answer

The show will go on. This is a rain or shine wedding! Gumboots and rain jackets are perfectly acceptable if it rains. Dinner and dancing will be under a big marquis tent but it could still be cool in the evening.

I'm staying in a cabin, is there anything in particular I should pack?

Answer

- Beach Blankets and towels - Kids floaties and sand toys - Beach games - Paddle board if you have one - Lawn games (please let us know if you have any you can bring!). - Beach/camping chair - Mountain bike if you want to explore the trails in the neighbouring communities - Food/drinks for your stay, there are kitchenettes in all cabins but not many other options close by

I'm coming from the Mainland, how soon do I need to book a ferry?

Answer

ASAP. We would suggest booking a ferry as soon as possible in order to travel at a time that is convenient. At least 3-4 months out is recommended. To book: https://www.bcferries.com/RouteSelectionPage

Are the Cabins at the Alders Pet Friendly?

Answer

No, you know we would have Kash with us if we could, but unfortunately the cabins are not pet friendly.

What way to the beach?

Answer

The Alders Beach Resort is located right on Williams Beach. It is a stunning setting and most of the cabins have a direct ocean view. The beach out front is sandy and perfect for kids to swim and play. There is a big grassy field right out front as well.

How long can I stay in the cabins?

Answer

We have booked out the entire resort from June 15th to June 21. There is a minimum stay required for two nights (June 19-21) but you are welcome to stay for additional days or the entire time!

What options are there for people not staying on the resort?

Answer

On our accommodation page we have provided a couple other options near the resort. There are also a few Airbnb options close by. Please make a point of booking early because the Island does start to get busy in June.
