Marie and Tanner were neighbors for about a year before they met. At the 2021 “National Night Out” neighborhood event, Marie and her roommate met Tanner’s roommate. Marie and her roommate were recruited to play softball for their team and she met Tanner the following week at the game. Somehow Tanner’s homeruns didn’t swoon Marie, and her .000 batting average didn’t woo him either. They remained friends for several months and spent lots of time together at Cowboy Jack’s, El Loro, softball, and each other’s townhomes. On New Year’s Eve, Tanner, Marie, and several other friends spent their night at Cowboy Jack’s. That night, he confessed his feelings for Marie to her friends. Word traveled fast, and she heard the news a couple hours later. After Tanner took Marie out on some lovely and thoughtful dates, they became an official couple on March 29th, 2022. He asked her out with balloons in her townhome and a sign saying "Blowing up all of these balloons took my breath away, and so do you! Be my GF?". He proposed two years later on their anniversary in her front lawn. They were very excited to transition from neighbors to fiancées. Now, they are even more excited to become husband and wife.
