Maid of Honor
Sparkle Markle and I met our freshman year at the University of Georgia and although it took us a few months to realize it, we were destined to be life-long friends. Throughout all the chapters of our time at UGA, Gabbi proved herself to be one of my most loyal and constant friends. After college, we moved into an apartment in Sandy Springs where we have been roommates for the last 3.5 years. After meeting at such a pivotal moment in our lives, I feel like I have done most of my ‘growing up’ with Gabbi by my side. Her hallmarks are her voice of reason, passion for her work, and deep, genuine care for people. Anyone who has the privilege of knowing her is keenly aware that she is truly a gem.
Matron of Honor
The Mary Poppins to my Bert, Chelsea Breaden Meyers has been one of my dearest friends for over ten years. We met at The King's Academy ages ago. Chelsea was two grades older than me, and I looked up to her as not only the best outsider hitter TKA volleyball had ever seen, but also as someone whose work ethic and love for others I hoped to emulate. Our friendship solidified and after Chelsea left for college in Tennessee, we only grew closer together and more grateful for each others' advice, wisdom and constant readiness for a sing-along. Now separated by many miles, our friendship has never wavered and Chelsea is, in so many ways, the sister I never had. She is wildly creative, deeply caring, and someone I can’t imagine my life without.
Best Man
The brother that I never didn’t have. Taylor and I were fast friends growing up. From knee football and baseball in the living room as kids (horrible idea, why was this allowed? And how did we never break anything?) to grown-up hiking trips, I can always count on him to be there. He set an example for me in all things - from what movies to watch and what music to listen to, to life lessons like confronting our nextdoor neighbors when I broke their window with a baseball. He is a prominent fixture in the “people I want to be like” space in my brain. I know that however far apart we may live, he will always be there to lose to me at video games and foot-races. YEAH YOU READ THAT RIGHT, BUDDY. SEE YOU ON RAINBOW ROAD. He’s a silent guardian, a watchful protector…The Best Man.
