They say you never forget the night you meet “the one.” That’s not entirely true — because Tanner has no recollection of the first time he met Kyndall. (To be fair, it was at a college Redneck Yacht Club party.) Fast forward a bit, and fate—or maybe Toyota—brought them back together. Tanner left Bowling Green for the summer to work, and somewhere between long workdays and late-night texts, a real connection started to spark. Their first date came in July 2022... though “date” might be a generous term. Tanner somehow found himself at a drag show without Kyndall. (It’s a long story—but a very on-brand start for them.) Things got more serious when Kyndall left to study abroad in London. Despite the six-hour time difference, they made time for each other every night. Between FaceTimes and sweet messages across time zones, Kyndall couldn’t wait to get back to the States—and to Tanner. When senior year began, so did their relationship. They got to experience all of their “college lasts” together—final tailgates, late-night study sessions, and weekend adventures. After graduation, life took them in different directions for a bit. Tanner started full-time at Toyota in Georgetown, while Kyndall wrapped up her degree in Bowling Green. They made long-distance love look easy (well, mostly easy). When Kyndall graduated that May, she moved in with Tanner “just for a couple weeks” while apartment hunting in Lexington... and, well, the rest is history.
