Wedding Party

Meet the family and friends who will be part of our special day!

Brooke Wade Murphy

Matron of Honor

Brooke is younger sister to the bride. Brooke and Tanner are known as “the little girls” in the Wade Murphy family and are hoping that now they will soon both be married they can finally shake this title. These two sisters grew especially close when the family made the move from Michigan to Ohio in 2000, and have continued to tighten this bond over the years - despite living in different cities much of the time. Brooke, who currently lives in Portland, Oregon is an amazing creative and inspires Tanner with her confidence and drive!

Jessica Wade-Murphy de Jimenez

Matron of Honor

Eldest sister to the bride and fellow cat lady, Jessica is also mother to the bride's adorable niece and nephew. Growing up Jessica wasn’t always the biggest fan of her younger and, apparently, annoying sisters but as they all grew up Jessica became a great friend and support. She inspires Tanner with her work as a climate change scientist, using her expertise to make positive changes for the future of our planet. She also inspires Tanner in her gentleness and kindness as a sister, mother and wife. Tanner is thankful to Jessica for giving her so many opportunities for travel, considering she has lived out of the United States (currently in Bogota, Colombia) since Tanner was in high school!

Caroline Wells

Bridesmaid

Known as the bride's "Life Partner", Caroline and Tanner have been best friends since sophomore year of high school where they met on a YMCA swim team. They have the same birthday and have about a million other things in common. They studied nursing together at The Ohio State University and spent five years as room mates, much of that time also co-parenting two beloved cats (RIP Oscar and Milo). Caroline and Tanner trained for and ran two marathons together and still try to run together (for fun!) once a week.

Tiffany Noble

Bridesmaid

"Tiff" and "Tan" met freshman year at The Ohio State University where they both lived on the fifth floor of Siebert Hall. Their friendship blossomed over their years in college and has continued since, inlcluding Tanner as the Maid of Honor in Tiff's wedding a few years ago! The bride and Tiffany are very different - feel free to talk to Tiff about a breakdown of their individual Meyers-Briggs - but they support each other with humor, loyalty and an on going Google Hangouts chat. Tanner and Kyle's relationship is actually the brainchild of Tiff, whose husband Garrett worked with Kyle in the Biomedical Engineering department at Ohio State! Thanks Tiff and Garrett!

Laura de Roziere

Bridesmaid

Like a sister to the bride, Laura and the bride met in nursing school at The Ohio State University where they had clinical together sophomore year. They were room mates junior year of college and Tanner was Maid of Honor in Laura's wedding the summer after graduation. Over the years, Tanner has become an honorary member of Laura's family as well as "aunt" to Laura's two (soon three!) adorable kids.

Rhett Dalton

Best Man

Rhett and Kyle have been friends since middle school days. From 10 cent wing nights and playing high school soccer, to starting a fraternity and weekends in Ann Arbor. Rhett is optimistic and is able to see humor in every situation: death, breakup, car accident, terrorist attack, and marathon chafing to name a few. His generosity and stubbornness will always be appreciated.

Suzy Situ

Best Woman

Suzy went to high school with Rhett and Kyle, but she wasn’t friends with them until senior year, when they matured enough to talk to girls. Suzy, Rhett, and Kyle became close freshmen year at OSU when Suzy was the only girl on campus they knew. She had dorm parties, and friends. Their friendship grew as they grabbed Thai’s Asian Bistro and shared stories of failed relationships. Suzy is perfectly happy to talk for hours about topics such as the best tacos in Columbus or life goals in 10 years.

Elise Bodnyk

Groomswoman

Elise and Kyle have known each other for over 27 years! They grew up together playing with toy salamanders and owls as well as catching salamanders in the creeks of Georgia. Elise and Kyle had a few pets growing up including: cats, dogs, rabbit, guinea pig, ducks, turtles, fish, caterpillars, salamander, and a gecko. Both graduated from OSU and lived together for 3 years after college. Elise often cooked up delicious food for family dinners such as fresh tossed pizza; plus her cheery demeanor got Kyle through his first few years of grad school. Kyle is very proud that Elise is a Columbus city middle school science teacher.

Sam Hambissa

Groomsman

Kyle and Sam met in a medical student physiology class with over 600 people, through a mass study group email. Through studying brutal kidney nephron processes together it quickly became apparent that Sam should not have been in the class, as biology 101 would have met his science requirement. Outside class they would eat Ray Ray's BBQ and occasionally run. Sam is a friendly guy that listens intently and responds with questions that rival a late night talk show host.

Raghav Rajpal

Groomsman

Raghav and Kyle met in the Fraternity and bonded through rooming together for a year. Raj introduced Kyle to EDM, by basting Avicii's "Levels" both in the shower and in his bright red Chevy Camero. They enjoyed sharing their respective cultures and eating spicy Maggi Indian instant noodles. Kyle drove the UHAUL truck when Raj moved to Baltimore as Raj followed in the recently damaged Jaguar. During Raj's 2017 Farewell American Tour, Kyle met him in California for a winter camping trip. The two of them drove to Yosemite, when they got to their site, Kyle found out that this was Raj's first camping trip. It wasn't snowing when they arrived but it snowed through the next 2 days. Both would jolt awake to the sound of huge clumps of snow falling on top of the tent from the tree above.
