Tanner and I met in August of 2017 at our teacher in-service in Sunray, Texas. Now I bet you are thinking, how did a girl from San Antonio, Tx and a guy from Stratford, Tx get to Sunray? Well, Tanner was a new football coach right out of college, and I was the new Ag teacher right of college as well. We like to say it was God that brought us both to Sunray, because growing up, Sunray was Tanner's rival school, and well, I was 9 hours away from home (crazy on my part I know), but all things happen for a reason. After meeting each other in August, we would greet each other in passing and talk in the hall every now and then once school started. It was not until around Tanner's birthday (September 2017) that I really started to let my opinions flow out about the crush I had on Tanner to none other than his sister-in-law, Jaymee. Jaymee, had arranged for us to hang out with her and Tyler (Tanner's brother) a couple of times, and the rest is what they call, history! Tanner and I quickly became best friends, connected at the hip, and just loved each others company and well each other, and of course still do to this day. Basically, it was a match made in heaven, we compliment each other so well! After a crazy school year together and moving our lives to Amarillo, Tx and finding new jobs, Tanner had planned the best proposal possible! Not only did he completely catch me off guard (which is hard to do because I ask a lot of questions... all the time), he even surprised me with my family to celebrate the event! The excitement I have about this man is still just as high as it was the day I met him! I can not wait to marry my best friend, and I know he would say the same! December 28th of 2019 can not get here fast enough!
