Smith River, California, is a beautiful coastal town nestled in the far northwestern corner of the state. It holds a special place in our hearts— we have spent many summers here with Tanner's grandparents and we’re so excited to get married in a place that means so much to us.
It’s about a 5.5 hour drive from Chico and roughly 4.5 hours from Redding. While the scenery is stunning, accommodations in Smith River itself are limited and many hotels in the area experience high volume during the Summer months, so we highly recommend booking as soon as possible if you’re able to join us!

Brookings, Oregon – Just 15 minutes north of Smith River and offers several hotels, AirBnbs, and inns.
Crescent City, California – Located 20 minutes south of Smith River, also with a variety of accommodations available.
