April 2018 - Our "first" picture together at a formal. We just knew of each other through mutual friends at the time! It wasn't until the very last day of finals Tanner finally made his move.

May 2018 - Our first date spent eating frozen yogurt and going to see 'Life of the Party' in theaters. We instantly clicked!

June 2018 - The night Tanner asked Josie to be his girlfriend at a drive-thru movie theater. He may or may not have given her an artificial National Honors Society flower as a romantic gesture.

June 2018 - Josie spent a lot of her summer at the ball field watching Tanner's Legion Baseball team (I don't think she was too upset about it)

January 2019 - Coincidentally, Josie was often placed to work taking pics/videos at the jumping pits during Doane track meets. She frequently dodged the sand that Tanner would kick up after landing.

March 2019 - Tanner's first of many softball games he was able to watch Josie throw in! He loved her smile while on the mound... before and after accidentally hitting batters.

September 2019 - A little over a year into their relationship, Tanner left for 3.5 months to explore and study abroad in Milan, Italy. It was a hard semester to say the least!

December 2019 - HE MADE IT HOME! Tanner had to promise Josie to not leave the country again WITHOUT taking her along. He didn't argue much about it.

April 2021 - Josie's senior day for softball. She loved her cheering section which grew by another family.

May 2021 - Josie and Tanner graduate from Doane University together!

May 2021 - Tanner qualified in both jumps his senior year for nationals in Alabama, and his family was nice enough to let Josie tag along! He became part of a National Championship team that season!

July 2021 - The first family vacation Tanner was part of with the Schnakenberg family in Colorado. To say Josie was shocked was a complete understatement...

July 2021 - We couldn't stop smiling for the remainder of the vacation!!!

August 2021 - Josie and Tanner begin their new adventure in Omaha for graduate school! Tanner is at UNMC for physical therapy and Josie is at UNO for school psychology.

May 2023 - Josie earned her Masters Degree in School Psychology at UNO. She will officially graduate with her Ed.S in May of 2025.

October 2023 - Josie and Tanner took their first vacation together at the Grand Tetons taking their engagement pictures and hiking! (and avoiding wildlife)

Summer of 2023 - One of our several weddings spent celebrating our friends and family! It made us that much more excited to be planning ours.

Although we're sweaty in this pic, it's one of our favorites because it's us walking across our favorite bridge into Iowa from the Omaha downtown area shown in the background. We love our walks!
