Question

Is this a Wedding or Elopement?

Answer

Kind of both. We're having a small ceremony and after-party BBQ! Please be flexible, day-of things may change.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at 10:30 to provide time to find parking.

Question

How do I get there?

Answer

The wedding and after party are at Gerle Creek. This lake is off of Wentworth Springs Rd. You can take Hwy 50 to Ice House Road or Wentworth Springs from Georgetown. We recommend using whichever route your GPS suggests (probably hwy 50 unless coming from Auburn area). Once you get to Gerle Creek campground, drive all the way to the back to the day use area. There is limited service, but we will put up signs with “H+T” on Ice House Road. GPS: 38.972779 -120.392674

Question

How's Parking?

Answer

Parking at Gerle Creek is limited and $5 for day use. We ask you to please try to carpool if you can. Drive to the very back of Gerle Creek Campground for the closest parking. If there is none, there is more parking on the road just before you enter the campground.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Wedding casual. Bring a change for the afterparty & BBQ if staying!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one or kids?

Answer

No, we are limited to 30 guests due to permitting and physical space. We made a lot of hard decisions about leaving out friends and family. You are one of the elite chosen few. If no plus-one is a concern, please reach out!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes, Zola and Amazon. However, your presence is presents enough!

Question

What should I bring for the afterparty & BBQ?

Answer

Anything you would normally bring for a day at the lake. Chairs, blanket, umbrella, swimsuit, fishing pole, etc... Drinks, food, and snacks will be provided. We will have a few Kayaks & SUP's available to play on, but if you want to bring your own, feel free!

Question

Camping?

Answer

The Bride & Groom will not be camping. But there's plenty of dispersed camping on National Forest land nearby! We might try to snag a site at Airport Flat Campground, but no guarantees!

For all the days along the way
