As many of you know-- the way Tanner and Chanel met was, well, one of a kind. Chanel was sitting on the third base line behind the dugout, at her very first Saints game— some might say she was feeling a bit animated and enthused— other would say she was filled with liquid confidence— but she was having the time of her life. When all of a sudden a Saints player hit the ball, it sailed and bounced off the wall. He was running fast and made it to 3rd-- to this day Chanel still claims he could have ran home for an in-the-park home run. In her competitive nature she yelled something that should never have been repeated-- for the sake of this story and wedding we will say she yelled "You should have went home ya baby..." Immediately she sat down holding her head in embarrassment (blame it on the beer and hot weather.) The player turned around, laughed and shook his head. Later that night her and her friends went to the Ox Cart, a hip rooftop bar in Lowertown St. Paul. She was talking to some random guy, explaining how embarrassed she was about what she said at the game. Little did she know she was talking to the player that she yelled at, Tanner. He said while laughing, "yeah that was me, I heard you." She walked away never to talk to him again... Oh wait, he followed her and the rest is history. Now they are getting married.
