Tanner and I both went to Tri-County Academy, but he was a couple years older than me so we didn't really meet until we were put in the same Spanish class. He sat in the back of the classroom (because that's where the cool kids sat) and of course I sat in the front. He quickly got moved to the front because he talked too much. Lucky me- he happened to be moved right behind me :) It didn't take long for us to become best friends. He told me his senior year that he was going to win me over before he graduated and the rest is history <3

It's no secret that I have been dying to be engaged to Tanner. Everyone we talk to always makes a joke about us being together for so long (almost 6 years) and still not married. We knew it was all in God's timing :) Tanner and I live in Flora, MS and plan to raise our family here, so it was only fitting that he proposed right in the heart of Flora on main street. I was told that I had to dress nice to take a picture for the newspaper for the new business I work for. When I got there, the business owner that I was taking the picture with told me she left her shoes inside and asked me to go find the photographer. As soon as I walked around the corner, there Tanner was, with the cutest smile on his face. It didn't take me long to figure out what was going on. He got on his knee and forgot all the words he was going to say and just stuck with the classic "Will you marry me" (lol), but he also wrote on a piece of paper that said "You were my best friend, and then my girlfriend, but today I'm ready to make you my wife. Will you marry me?" <-- he's so cute. Our families walked out all excited and it was such a special moment. Tanner told me we had reservations somewhere and that we had to leave, but little did I know, he brought me to a party they had planned for me with ALL of our family and friends <3 I have dreamed of this moment for so long that I can't believe it finally happened. I can't say enough how blessed we are with all of the people that went above and beyond to make this day so special for us. Tanner and I know we are soulmates and can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together. I know God has some big big plans for our future!!!
