After six years of courtship, Brittany and Tanner tied the knot in a private ceremony surrounded by immediate family on August 3, 2022. The date was chosen based on venue availability and Brittany and Tanner’s “flexible” summer schedules, but by happenstance, was the wedding anniversary of Brittany’s late grandparents, Stella and John Ruggieri. The men wore yellow silk “sail plans” ties as a tribute to a longstanding Goodwin-Peters family tradition inspired by Tanner’s late Great Uncle, Jim Peters. The couple’s “first look” photographs were taken at Minnewaska State Park located within the Mohonk Mountains of the Hudson Valley. Their intimate wedding ceremony took place at four thirty in the afternoon at The Elmrock Inn, a country-style bed and breakfast nested within the hamlet of Stone Ridge, New York. Brittany’s father, Rick, escorted her down the aisle, gave a special toast at dinner, and danced with her to their favorite song, “Butterfly Kisses” by Bob Carlisle. Brittany’s mother, Kim, and Tanner’s father, Howard, signed the couple's marriage license as their primary witnesses. Tanner’s mother, Millynn accompanied him in a heartfelt mother-son dance to the song “Days Like This“ by Van Morrison. Tanner’s sister, Katherine, creatively crafted the beautiful floral arrangements utilized during and after the wedding ceremony. And last but certainly not least, the three matriarchs of the Gajewski-Wilson families, Gloria, Kathe, and Mary, provided everyone with unforgettable memories by sharing their personal wedding albums. Those present also gave their marital blessings through an intimate ring warming ceremony. One year later, Brittany and Tanner wish to celebrate their marriage with all of you! They thank you for your support and hope to see you on August 4th 2023!
