They first met over dinner with a group of friends. Confident that he shared her love for SEC football, Anna Claire spent most of the evening talking to Tanner about her passion for the University of Tennessee and all things Vols. Looking back, Anna Claire thought, “He must think I’m so adorable and definitely wants to date me.” Tanner, on the other hand, walked away thinking, “She must really love UT football.” It wasn’t until over a year later that a mutual friend, Daniel Silver, connected the two. While hanging out, Daniel casually mentioned to Tanner that his name had come up and that Anna Claire might be interested. It took Tanner less than a week to reach out, and the rest is history. Their early dates included coffee at SEED Coffee Co., putt-putt at Sir Gooney’s (where Anna Claire will confidently state that she only lost by one point), trips to McKay’s, and walks through Sequoyah Hills Park where Tanner would later propose. Over the next year the two would spend most of their time laughing together, playing pickleball, enjoying their friend groups, going on trips and making many memories. Throughout their relationship, the two always valued quality time, and making memories, they are so excited to take the next steps and continue to create more memories together.
