While the two were getting to know each other over text, Alec had informed Tanisha about an upcoming concert to see one of his favorite bands Hail the Sun. When asked who all he would go with, Alec revealed that he usually goes alone and doesn't mind it. Tanisha made a spontaneous decision to tell Alec that she would go with him, because things are always better with a "friend". Alec was shocked and warmed hearted by the gesture and the two decided to make plans for it, funny enough when the two later shared their feelings it was the final decision to make this their first official date.
