Tanis and Katherine attended the same high school in the early 2000s. Though their friend groups were intertwined with many of the same people , they never spent much time with each other. That is, until the April of 2023, when the universe brought them back together in a lonely waiting room. They reintroduced themselves to each other all over again and have been inseparable ever since. Tanis proposed to Katherine in the February of 2024, after getting the approval from their daughters and Katherine's father.
