This is a little out of the way of downtown but is definitely a beautiful spot to walk around in. Heritage park is in the area as well if you wished to check that out as well!

BanffBanff

If you have the time to do a day trip definitely head up to Banff it is such a beautiful spot. There are tons of shops and restaurants in the town and has some great trails in the area if your looking for a walk or a hike! You could even end your day by soaking up the views in the Banff hot springs. Just a bit further from Banff you should also stop in to see Lake Louise and Moraine lake if you have the chance as well.

Neat to go and see some things from back in the day, there is also rides as well. Fish creek park is in the area so could be something else to do if you are up that way.

CanmoreCanmore

If your looking for something similar to Banff but don't want to pay the entrance fee and have a shorter drive Canmore is an excellent spot to explore. It has similar vibes as Banff and is another mountain town close to Calgary!

Bragg CreekBragg Creek

A great spot pretty close to Calgary if your looking to do some hiking, lots of great spots in the area and the town has some bakeries and cute places to check out.

The Saskatoon FarmThe Saskatoon Farm

Don't be fooled by the name, this is still in Calgary area! This is a newly discovered place recommended by a friend. It is a working family farm with beautiful views, berry picking, a farmers market, and little shops to look at some local goods!

Glenbow Ranch Provincial ParkGlenbow Ranch Provincial Park

This is a really pretty spot between our house and Cochrane! It is a great spot for a nice walk without the commitment of a day hike. There are lots of different paths to choose from and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Yamnuska Wolfdog SanctuaryYamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary

We haven't done this yet but it is on the list! Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary offers a variety of tours to the public. The purpose of their tours is to educate the public on wolfdogs and raise awareness regarding wolf conservation. All proceeds from the tours directly fund the Sanctuary and its continued rescue efforts.
