We're getting married!

This couple first met at a birthday party in Houston, TX for Taniel's cousin Tanya (Matron of Honor) birthday party in 2019. At first sight, Darrin shared with Tanya, "that's the type of girl I like, right there" all while pointing directly at Taniel. A chance meeting that evening turned into dancing all night, which then turned into starting to know one another over that weekend and finally exchanging contact information before parting ways. Despite the distance between them being a three-hour plane ride, a month didn't go by before Darrin made his first trip up to Philadelphia to visit his new love interest. They would communicate multiple times throughout the day via texts, memes, and video calls after work that usually lasted for hours. Their next encounter came a few months later when Taniel flew down to accompany Darrin to a wedding. Over the course of the next 3 years this would become their routine. The pair would fly back and forth between Philadelphia and Mississippi or sometimes meet up in Houston, the land of where it all began. In December of 2021, while on a birthday visit to Mississippi, Darrin surprised Taniel with the most amazing gift ever. He was purchasing a home for them so Taniel was able to hangup her high-heels and slide on her flip flops! By April 2022, Darrin flew up to Philly one last time to move his future wife into to their new home. At the end of 2024, at Taniel's birthday party and surrounded by a host of family and friends, Darrin got down on one knee and popped the question. Filled with tears of joy Taniel happily accepted!
