Tania and Luke met online through Bumble. Luke had a picture of himself riding a pony on his dating profile. Tania found it hilarious and could not get this image out of her head. It prompted her to send him a Kelly Kapowski gif from her days on Saved by the Bell TV show. He liked her originality and appreciation for the 90s.
Luke lived in Orange, and Tania lived in Loma Linda. Luke asked Tania if he could pick her up from her place. Tania was smitten; no guy had ever offered to do that before. He rolled up to her house in his red GLI Autobahn that had been fixed in the nick of time. The day was a hot one, heating up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. A fact that did not deter Luke from wearing sharp green jeans and a black Volcom short-sleeved button-down shirt. The effort paid off. Tania's first thought when she saw him was, "Wow, he's handsome!" Tania was more appropriately attired in black linen shorts, a blue and white striped blouse, a mutli-colored jeweled necklace, and black strappy sandals. When Luke, saw her, it was like a re-enactment of The Mask where his eyes pop out and mouth hangs open going "Awoooga!" The two went off on a sushi date at Niko Niko and a double-header at the Van Buren drive-in movie theater of Jurassic World and Purge, the latter Tania mostly slept through. After taking Tania home, Luke drove himself home, getting back at 3:30 AM. Enough time to take a cat nap before being at work at 7:00 AM. The lack of sleep was a small sacrifice in order to spend more time together.
Tania and Luke became exclusive.
Tania meets Luke's children, Ava and Liam, for the first time. Ava and Tania hit it off, right out of the gate. Liam showed his appreciation by asking if "Tagna" would come over.
Luke waited months to have Tania's custom-made ring be finished. He purchased tickets for a motocross event in Texas, as a Valentine's Day gift for Tania. While in Texas, they went to an Irish restaurant. The place was nostalgic. It reminded them both of a restaurant they both enjoy going to in Orange, CA. Luke popped the question, and Tania said, "Yes."
