Alec and Lauren both attended Eisenhower High School in Shelby Twp, MI. However, neither of them knew this until senior year when they shared one semester of AP English Literature. At the time, Lauren was in a relationship and the two only saw each other as classmates. Life went on, a breakup occurred, and the two graduated high school. As with most things in life, God had a plan that was unforeseeable to both Alec and Lauren. He brought them together through mutual friends who had invited them to the same graduation parties, and soon Lauren and Alec began spending a lot of time together throughout the summer. Lauren would be staying local and attending Oakland University in MI whereas Alec had accepted an offer to Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. Sadly, the weather began to cool and the fall semester was on the horizon. Alec had shared his feelings with Lauren before leaving for Purdue, but Lauren was hesitant about the idea of a long-distance relationship. However, the day Alec left for college, Lauren finally came to the realization that she had developed feelings for Alec and was heartbroken they would most likely not keep in touch. That said, she did not regret one moment spent with this amazing man the summer of 2018. Alec made a tremendous effort in staying in touch with Lauren, and the feelings the two had for each other only grew. Flash forward to October 7th, 2018 when Alec came home for Purdue's fall break and the two spent the weekend rekindling their relationship. Lauren finally decided to take the risk and commit to a relationship with Alec as he was more than worth it. The two became official that day and are excited to vow the rest of their lives to one another 7 years later!
