Tyler and Sonny met playing Indoor soccer at the community center at age 4. The two got put on the same team and absolutely destroyed every other team they came across to the point where they change up how the teams were made the next season. In middle school the two began handing out more and more with the rest being history!

Amanda and Maddy met in their therapeutic recreation cohort during Maddy's junior year of college. After bonding over a miserable class along with Kelsy and Cecilia, the four became lifelong friends. The group still gets together twice a year to catch up and constantly chat about what's going on in their lives!

Carter and Tyler’s families knew each other early on in their lives. Both of their older brothers were in Boy Scouts together. One day Mrs. Delong found out she was pregnant and Coleen laughed and came around a little longer later pregnant for Tyler. The two grew up together and have been close ever since.

Cecilia and Maddy met in their therapeutic recreation cohort during Maddy's junior year of college. After bonding over a miserable class along with Kelsy and Amanda, the four became lifelong friends. Cecilia was the one who pushed Maddy to invite Tyler to her 21st birthday party at her family cottage which was the start of their relationship!

Tyler came into Kyle’s life when Kyle was 10 years old. Tyler has always loved having a big brother, developing fond memories together in their joint 25 year venture. Whether it be batting practice at local baseball diamonds, jet skiing on Lake Michigan, or even a simple foot race in front of their parents home, the two have been able to share a laugh or two growing up as brothers. Kyle has happily accepted Maddy into the Samojedny family, creating new memories to be share in this next stage of life.

Kelsy and Maddy met in their therapeutic recreation cohort during Maddy's junior year of college. After bonding over a miserable class along with Amanda and Cecilia, the four became lifelong friends. Kelsy was present at the 21st birthday party where Maddy and Tyler began their relationship and has been a large support ever since!

Danny and Tyler met in high school through swimming and stayed friends through college where they shared in the misery of Grand Valley’s School of Engineering. Danny, Tyler, and Maddy all knew each other through the rock climbing center and went on several climbing trips together.

Elsie and Maddy met through Elsie dating Maddy’s brother, Braden. Since Elsie and Braden have graduated from Michigan Tech they moved closer and Maddy and Tyler have been able to spend more time with both of them. Maddy and Elsie had an instant bond over their love of animals and have even plotted getting a cow for Maddy and Tyler’s new property

Braden was the third sibling to join the Berridge bunch, making Maddy and older sister to two. While initially Maddy was not overly pleased about being surrounded by boys, her and Braden became incredibly close. They share a love of nature and adventure. Braden and Tyler enjoy chatting about sports and picking on each other frequently.

Deja is Mason's girlfriend that he met in basic training. Deja and Maddy instantly bonded over commonalities such as their love of Harry Potter, Star Wars, and just about everything else nerdy!

Mason was the first sibling to make Maddy an older sister. Since they were young they were incredibly close with Mason only talking to Maddy or Maddy talking for Mason for the longest time. Mason has always been there to cheer his sister on and has accepted Tyler into the family like a brother.

Alec and Tyler met in college becoming close friends hanging out almost every night! Eventually, the two became roommates down town Grand Rapids and Alec helped raise Leo on Tyler’s weeks with Leo when he and Maddy were living in separate cities.

Stevie has known Maddy since she was just 13 years old and extremely annoying. When Stevie returned from her service in the Marines, her and Maddy became close and she is the closest thing Maddy has to an older sister (which she always wanted).

Rae is Stevie's daughter and has had a large role in Maddy's life. Since Rae was born, Maddy knew she wanted to have Rae be her flower girl when she met the perfect guy. Tyler came into Maddy's life when Rae was about two or three years old. The couple even took Rae on a couple of fun outings together and love Rae for her funny, spunky, and sweet personality!

At just three years old, this little lady will be tossing petals alongside flower girl, Rae. Hailey was the first kiddo that made Maddy and Tyler an aunt and uncle! The couple absolutely love this silly, sweet, and shy girl!
Addison Rogers

Maddy and Tyler met Addison about three years ago when Maddy took her on as a volunteer for Elevate Equine Assisted Therapy. Addison has become like a younger sister to Maddy and Maddy has enjoyed teaching Addison the ropes of horses. Addison will be assisting the handsome ring bearer down the aisle!
Leo Samojedny

Leo has been a large part of Maddy and Tyler's lives since back in college. Maddy and Tyler adopted Leo from the Humane Society of West Michigan on March 17, 2019! Leo has been with the couple through college, jumping from apartment to apartment, graduation, and getting jobs as adults! It is so important for Maddy and Tyler to have Leo be apart of their special day!
