FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 31st, 2024. We kindly ask that you let us know if you will be attending as soon as possible to help us finalize our plans. Your timely response is greatly appreciated!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are not registered for gifts. Instead, we would appreciate donations to our honeymoon fund. Your generosity will help us create unforgettable memories on our first adventure as a married couple. Thank you for your support!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving about 30 minutes before the ceremony begins to allow time for parking, finding your seat, and settling in. The ceremony will start promptly at 3:00pm. PLEASE consider carpooling to the venue with loved ones! There is a good handful of parking next to the venue, but some folks will likely have to park on the street, or in the adjoining neighborhoods. Leave a couple of minutes for walking to the actual venue. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, the dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. This typically means a suit, some dress slacks with a dress shirt and tie, a cocktail dress, dressy skirt and top, or a classy jumpsuit. Those would all be appropriate. So please no jeans with holes and no t-shirts! The weather is projected to be 63° in the afternoon and as low as 41° at the end of the night. We want everyone to feel comfortable and look their best. Thank you for dressing to celebrate this special occasion with us!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation will be addressed specifically to the intended guests, or indicate if you have a plus-one. If your invitation is addressed to you “and guest,” then yes, you are welcome to bring a date. If not, we kindly ask that you come solo to help us keep our small guest list manageable. Additionally, please note that this is an adults-only wedding. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. (Ours and those of the wedding party will be present, since we will be there the whole weekend.) We appreciate your understanding and hope you are able to enjoy a night off to celebrate with us!

Question

Do you have any recommended hotels?

Answer

Yes, we have a few recommendations for your stay: 1. Arnold Black Bear Inn • 1343 Oak Cir, Arnold, CA 95223 • 209-795-8999 • arnoldblackbearinn.com 2. Arnold Meadowmont Lodge • 2011 Highway 4, Arnold, CA 95223 • 209-795-1394 • arnoldlodgeca.com 3. Airbnb or Vrbo • There are a lot of homes and cabins in the area, available on the various apps (the wedding party are using these.) 4. Murphys Historic Hotel • 457 Main St, Murphys, CA 95247 • 1-800-532-7684 • murphyshotel.com 5. Dunbar House • 271 Jones St, Murphys, CA 95247 • 209-728-2897 • dunbarhouse.com Murphys is a great place to stay (and has many quality options), but it is 15-20 minutes down a dark, curvy, mountainside road. Please consider staying closer to the venue if you are planning on drinking, or if you are not familiar with the drive. We recommend booking your accommodations early to ensure availability. This is a small community, these will fill up! Many of these accommodations are small, family-owned establishments- more along the lines of inns and bed and breakfasts, rather than hotels.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, of course! Your health and comfort are important to us. Our taco bar will be catered with chicken and beef tacos, as well as a vegetarian/vegan option featuring chickpeas and vegan cheese. There are also quesadillas, rice and beans, and chips and salsa. If you have specific dietary needs, we will do our best to accommodate and will ask the chef what items you should stay away from. Thank you for helping us ensure everyone can enjoy the celebration safely!

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception being held?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at: 3211 Lakemont Drive, Arnold, CA 95223 We look forward to celebrating with you at this beautiful location!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is parking available at the venue for both the ceremony and reception, as they will be held at the same location. PLEASE consider carpooling to the venue with loved ones! There is a good handful of parking next to the venue, but some folks will likely have to park on the street, or in the adjoining neighborhoods. Leave a couple of minutes for walking to the actual venue. If you have any questions or need special accommodations, feel free to contact us.

Question

What should I do if I can’t attend?

Answer

If you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible by updating your RSVP on our wedding website or contacting us directly. We will miss you, but we appreciate your letting us know in advance.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors, under the cover of the pine trees (weather permitting.) The reception will be held indoors. Please dress accordingly and be prepared for 67° in the afternoon and as low as 45° at the end of the night. We will communicate with our guests if anything changes with the forecasted weather.

Question

What time does the reception begin and end?

Answer
