Travel Note
There are two ways to travel from Paris to Blois: by car or train. Blois is about 2-2.5 hours away from the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris. There is a train station located in the airport as well as car rental services. If you plan to travel by train, you will need to travel to Saint Pierre des Corps (Tours) and then to Blois from there. Tours is a 50 minute car drive or 34 minute train ride to Blois. I recommend to get train tickets from SNCF Connect and to take the TGV (Train a Grande Vitesse) from Paris to Tours (1 hr 40 minutes). From Tours you can take a connective intercity train to Blois. You can reserve tickets ahead of time for cheaper, on SNCF website-- I think at the earliest tickets become available is around 1 month before. Car rental service at Tours- https://www.sixt.fr/ FYI- if you plan to rent a car, account for toll roads which are usually priced between $20-$30, one-way, on the highway from Paris to Blois. Toll roads from Tours to Blois are cheaper, if you plan to rent a car in Tours. Noted that gas is priced by the liter (not gallon) and priced higher than in the US!
Travel Note
Once you arrive in Blois, getting around is easy. The city is quite walkable, however, for longer trips, Uber and taxi services are available. The wedding venue is a 15 minute drive from Blois. We will have family and friends in France that have offered to help get you to the wedding as another option!
