FAQs

Question

What’s the weather like in Beaver Creek in late June?

Answer

Late June in Beaver Creek is typically gorgeous, with warm, sunny afternoons and cooler mountain evenings. Highs are usually in the 70s, with temperatures dipping into the 40s and 50s at night. Mountain weather can change quickly, so it’s best to be prepared for a range of conditions.

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

Think layers, comfort, and a little Colorado flair. Days are usually sunny and warm, but mountain evenings cool off quickly, so a light jacket or wrap will come in handy. Comfortable walking shoes are a must for village wandering. Be sure to pack your wedding-day best for the ceremony and reception (formal, but not black tie). For the Hitching Post Hoedown, have some fun with it—boots, denim, and cowboy hats are welcome and encouraged if you’re feeling festive. Brunch is easygoing and comfortable, perfect for one last slow morning together. Don’t forget a swimsuit for the pool or hot tubs, plus sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat—the mountain sun is no joke. A refillable water bottle will help with the elevation, and chapstick or lotion is great for the dry mountain air. Pack smart, pack comfy, and come ready to celebrate—we’ll take care of the rest 🤍

Question

Will the elevation affect me?

Answer

Beaver Creek sits at about 8,100 feet above sea level, and the thinner air can take some getting used to. It’s common to feel slightly more tired or short of breath at first. To acclimate smoothly, stay well-hydrated, pace yourself on day one, and avoid overexertion. If you develop a mild headache, over-the-counter remedies like ibuprofen can help.

Question

Can I bring kids or a plus one?

Answer

Your invitation spells out exactly who’s invited. Please stick to the names on your invite so we can plan accordingly. If you have special circumstances, just reach out!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Check out our Travel page for a curated list of great options — from cozy lodges to luxury hotels, many close to the reception. The Vail Valley has endless accommodations, far too many to list here.

Question

What’s the vibe for the welcome party?

Answer

Get ready for some laid-back Colorado ranch fun! We’ll be kicking things off with The Hitching Post Hoedown at 4 Eagle Ranch in Wolcott — a casual evening of hearty ranch-style food, drinks, and western charm under the wide-open sky. Boots, denim, and cowboy hats are more than welcome (and highly encouraged if you’re feeling festive), but not required. Just bring your best hoedown spirit, relax, and enjoy a true Colorado-style celebration before the “I Do’s.”

Question

How should I dress for the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Dress to celebrate! The ceremony and reception are the most formal events of the weekend — formal but not black tie. Gentlemen will be perfectly dressed in a suit (no tux required), and ladies can choose cocktail dresses, floor-length gowns, or other refined eveningwear. Think mountain chic: elegant, polished, and just a touch glamorous, perfect for an evening of dining and dancing under the Colorado stars. A light wrap is a smart addition for the cool mountain air.

Question

How do I get around? (Parking, Shuttles & More)

Answer

Parking in Beaver Creek and Vail can be a little unpredictable—sometimes easy, sometimes limited. Both villages offer parking garages, but your hotel or rental property will usually have the best tips on where to park. The Hitching Post Hoedown 4 Eagle Ranch is about a 20-minute drive from Beaver Creek. There is plenty of onsite parking, and many guests will be driving or carpooling. Rideshare options are available in the area. If you plan on drinking, please plan ahead and ride with someone, arrange a rideshare, or make sure you have a designated driver so everyone gets there and back safely. Wedding Ceremony & Reception Beaver Creek offers two convenient public parking garages—Ford Hall and Villa Montane—both located in the heart of the village and within easy walking distance of the chapel. If the village garages fill up, additional parking with shuttle service into the village is also available. Please plan a little extra time for parking and walking to the chapel so you can arrive relaxed and on time. Parking at the reception venue is limited, so shuttles will run between the chapel and reception to make getting around effortless. Brunch Getting to brunch is easy and flexible. You’re welcome to drive, use Dial-A-Ride, or—depending on where you’re staying—take a leisurely stroll right over. Outside of our events, Beaver Creek and Vail offer free village shuttle systems that make getting around town easy. Beaver Creek’s Dial-A-Ride is a free, on-demand service that will pick you up anywhere in the resort—download the Village Connect app for the quickest and easiest option, or call 970-949-1938. Service runs daily from 6:30 a.m. to midnight. Pro tip: If you plan on enjoying cocktails, please don’t drive. Grab a shuttle, ride with friends, and keep the celebration safe and stress-free.
