While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be limited to children of the families of the bride and groom, due to guest count limitations. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us, though we completely understand if you are not able to attend. No worries!
We are honoring the cultural backgrounds of both our families by serving Korean and Polynesian foods both during cocktail hour and at reception. Additionally, there will be vegetarian/pescatarian options as well. Please notify the bride ASAP if you have any specific food allergies or special diets. For alcohol, we will be serving beer, wine (red and white), and champagne only. No hard liquor will be served.
Please wear semi-formal/dressy casual attire, and get ready to dance and celebrate!
In lieu of traditional wedding gifts, we are asking our guests for cash gifts to help fund our dream honeymoon! Venmo, CashApp, and Zelle are all accepted. If you don't have any of those apps, checks are fine, too!
Most members of the bride's family and friends have been vaccinated, as well as some members of the groom's family, and guests are more than welcome to wear masks and social distance to their comfort level. The vendors have also been asked to implement their own COVID precautions, as well, and the venue has its own COVID regulations. Further, we are only expecting about 50-60 guests, max, so the event will likely be a small, intimate gathering, and thus allowing for more social distancing, if desired. For any questions or concerns, please contact the bride directly.
Based on the weather almanac for this location and time of year, we are expecting the weather to be mostly clear with maybe a few clouds, and the temperature being in the high 60s to low 70s. We are not expecting rain; however, there is a rain plan. The ceremony will be held outdoors, with the reception in the adjoining indoor space.
There will be a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres and drinks, while the bride, groom, and family take photos. During this time we are planning on entertaining our guests with Polynesian dancers and a photo booth, as well as a few lawn games. After that, will be the reception and time to eat, drink, dance, and be merry!
Yes! The groom's favorite color is blue, and the bride's favorite flower is a blue orchid, so these are the dominating colors and flowers for the event. Because the bride is Korean, and the groom is Hawaiian, the ceremony and reception will be featuring a blend of these cultural traditions, in addition to a sermon of their chosen religion, Scientology, as well as Christian rituals.
No, just the wedding ceremony and reception. However, there is a list of recommended sights, attractions, and restaurants in Atlanta (check under the "Things To Do" tab) that will make for a pleasurable weekend (not part of the itinerary)!
You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please RSVP on the website, and let us know ASAP so that we can plan accordingly.
The first tip would be to put the venue's address into whatever GPS app you use on your smartphone. If you don't have that capability, however, contact us and let us know which hotel you are planning on staying at, so that we can help you with directions.
Please arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!
We will only be able to accommodate those individuals listed on your invitation.
Due to budget concerns, we are only reserving a hotel block for immediate family members coming in from out of town. On the travel page of this website, however, there is a list of recommended nearby hotels and Airbnb options to the venue that you are welcome to check out! It is not all inclusive, but it is a good start.
Please RSVP no later than August 6, 2022. This gives us time to plan the space and reception accordingly. To keep things simple, you can RSVP online through this wedding website.
Unfortunately, no.
Only if they are not rentals! More information will be provided on what can be taken and what cannot.
Definitely! Please share the love by using our hashtag (#AlongKimTheHickmans). We only ask that you turn your flash and ringers/notifications off during the ceremony so as not to distract the wedding party.
