Our Story

First comes summer camp, then comes adulthood, then comes marriage

We met at a church summer camp when we were seven years old. It was not love at first sight—we actually could not stand each other and were constantly arguing. It wasn’t until we were 12 years old that we had crushes on each other, and since then we have been crushing on each other. High school came, and Noah asked me on a date, which we had to be super low-key about because neither of us were allowed to date. So we went to the movies with some chaperones and watched Pets. From there, we decided to start “talking,” until Noah continued to get his phone taken away and could never respond to messages. A month went by, and Noah sent me a breakup text. I was clearly offended because I sent a text back with some attitude. Anyway, we continued to be very good friends, and Noah took me to my junior prom. Side note: Noah and I had a family friend take our prom photos, and when they appeared in my mother’s photo album, they populated as “wedding photos,” so this really is a full-circle moment. COVID hit, and Noah and I were on the phone every day for hours. We would have in-depth conversations, debates, and watch movies virtually together. We were truly best friends. College came, and Noah finally told me he had feelings for me. From there, through lots of trials and tribulations, we have been inseparable.
