Due to COVID-19, we wanted to let you know our wedding is going forward as planned as of right now (May 13). As always, your health and safety are our top priority, and we completely understand if you are unable to attend. I will update the website with any and all new information so just check back when you can. Thank you.
If you haven't heard we hope to make this a different type of wedding. It's pretty much gonna be a big outdoor summer BBQ party. I would bring a swimsuit and towel to the reception for the swimming and slip and slide. (fingers crossed the weather is nice) There will also be XXL yard games. Also hopefully you like holding frogs! Alcohol will be provided at the Reception but feel free to BYOB, a cooler and some lawn chairs. I will request that all kids under 20 leave by 9pm. #TamingtheLyon
We met when we worked security together, downtown Cleveland, at Sherwin Williams. Sam actually hated Mike; she thought he was a know it all, better then everyone jerk. Sam worked first shift and Mike second so they never really talked much until Mike was just about to leave Sherwin Williams for Medina PD. Mike took Sam on a bike ride around medina and the rest is history.
Mike knows that Samantha's favorite holiday is Halloween. The day before Halloween, Sam knew something was up as Mike had texted Sam asking if she would want to go for a walk the next day. Sam said yes and then Mike responded "without the dogs". We hadn't gone for a walk with out the dogs since we had dogs. Then Kelly, Sams sister, texted her saying she was thinking of us on the day we were to go on the dog-less walk, like that wasn't a clue. Sam still tried to play it off like she didn't know. The next day, Halloween, we woke up and could hear the pouring rain from our room. Sam asked, "you still wanna walk?" Mike looked at the radar and said it should slow down. It was still raining, but we drove to Indian Hollow (which is a place we would go when we were first getting to know each other). We went on a 30 minute walk and at one point we were on a bridge and Mike closes his eyes and told Sam to listen to the small ravine, which Sam thought 'this has got to be it'. Nope. Not until the end of our walk when were standing next to a waterfall did he get down on one knee and asks. Mike love to play games with me.
I know a lot of you will ask when we plan on having children. Were going to wait at least 2 more years after were married. We have 3 dogs right now and they are enough responsibility. We are also in the process of building a house so we don't need any more stress any time soon.
