Hey All. We are eloping to Polson, MT on July 4th and will have a Facebook live event. Then we will be having a reception on July 16th in Centennial, CO where we will celebrate with invited friends and family.
James and I first met 5 years ago at Life City Church. James played the drums and I sang on the Worship Team. We got to know each other over the years and he used to scare the crap out of me all the time backstage. We were friends but something started to change around January 2nd, 2020. As I got to know James through Instagram memes, and silly jokes I found myself wanting to spend time with him. I got up the courage to ask him out and he said yes, but when I would try to finalize plans, they fell apart. I asked him again......same thing. Until finally I said, I like you. So what are we going to do about this. For people who know me, I am not that forward. I told him it doesn’t have to be a date, we can just “hang out”. He agreed to that. He picked me up, we got in his car and as soon as the song “Dreams” by The Cranberries I knew there was something here. We drove around listening to music and singing our lungs out. We went on a few more “friend hangs” but then became official June, 23rd 2020. Everything about us just clicked, so in the middle of a pandemic we became close friends and then became something more.
Tami and I first met 5 years ago on the Life City Church worship team, and after many Sunday services or "experiences", Tami and I quickly became the members that were relied on the most. As the weeks went on we became good friends. On January 2nd, 2020, Tami decided to be adventurous and start our own messaging thread. And, of course, her first message to me was a meme from the show "The Office". I had suspected her of having feelings for me before this, but as I looked at the meme she sent me, it was all obvious after that. Now, in the next part of this story, she would have you believe that she just kept asking me out and I was being obtuse. That she's "usually not this forward with asking out guys" and such, but how could I have known that? So, I decided to test her to see how much she actually wanted ME and not just to date someone. Once my feeling were confirmed through much discussion, I finally found that she was actually interested in me. We then decided to have a few "hangouts" that weren't actually dates, but turned out to actually be dates, and the rest came to fruition.
