Linton and Tamara first met almost 30 years ago, she was introduced to him by his cousin with whom she lived with while attending college in Kingston Jamaica. At first, it was a platonic friendship, but it quickly grew into something so much deeper. There were a lot of odds against them and the timing of the relationship which forced it to end prematurely. However, they remained great friends and were very involved in each other’s lives. They have always shared a mutual respect and love for each other and have been there to support each other when needed over the years. Things however changed, in 2021 when Tamara took a trip with her daughter to New York to experience Christmas in the Big Apple and spend time with her friend. After not seeing Linton for over three years, Tamara and her friend planned a fun evening of sightseeing around New York City and invited Linton to come along. Once back home Tamara’s friend asked her what’s the story with Linton, as he seemed to be quite intrigued with her and seemed to be a great candidate for a husband. Tamara’s response was what? “Nah girl Linton will only be a guest at my wedding”. Well, as you all can see he is indeed a guest but The Guest of honor. Linton made plans to celebrate Tamara's birthday in Houston for the weekend. Tamara had no idea that Linton was planning on proposing while there. After carefully picking the perfect ring, he informed both her daughter and one of her close friends. On the day of the engagement, they drove from Houston to San Antonio where they would spend the night. Linton had plans to pop the question on a boat ride up the San Antonio River. However, when they arrived in San Antonio, he was having a hard time figuring out the logistics of how to execute the proposal because the weather was bad in the area. He eventually decided to do it in a more private setting, just the two of them. While in the middle of a conversation, he got down on one knee and professed his love to her and then asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. Tamara was in total shock and for a minute she thought he was messing with her. It took her a while to figure out what was happening. When it finally hit her, she did not hesitate to say YES, with excitement joy, and tears. She was so happy that the moment she had waited for had come to pass.
