A Pandemic Love

Admired from a Distance

May 26, 2018, we met on Facebook! We were social media friends for years but I never knew he existed. He would casually like my posts but I never really noticed who he was, to me he was another unknown Facebook friend. One day in 2018, Tip decided to shoot me a private message with a "Good Morning", I replied back, "Good Morning" (that was it!). Two years later he resurfaced, introduced himself, preceded to give me a couple compliments and expressed the desire to get to know me better. I ignored that message. It was never really my thing to converse with men on social media in that way. One month later he sends me another message (reluctantly, I'm sure), again expressing the desire to get to know me. I didn't respond again! Six hours later...he says, "I shot my shot". Three hours later, I responded, "I see...lol" (apparently not what he wanted to hear). Two weeks later he pops up again and asked me out on a date (October 14, 2020). I finally decided to do my due diligence and scan his posts and pictures to see what this man was about. At that point, we started talking on the phone, but his main concern was to make sure he wasn't being catfished (to make sure all my photos weren't filters...lol), so he asked to video chat instead, so we did... ALL THE TIME! The second time that we had a conversation via video chat, I asked him what name I should call him...Bryant or Tip", he said, "Call me your husband" (ok, we'll see..lol). He seemed like he was a family man; he was well traveled based on his pictures; he looked like a giant, so I knew he was tall (a definite plus). As I scrolled and realized just how handsome he was, I decided that this may be worth at least a date. This all began during a pandemic, so we were very limited on places to go, so the first time we met up in person was at his house. The smile on his face when I walked through his door was absolutely adorable, I still visualize it sometimes and smile. He told me later that the minute I walked through the door he knew I was the one. We have been inseparable ever since! Making that decision to respond to him was the best decision I could have made because I cannot imagine my life without him! God truly answered my prayers when he sent Bryant L. Tipton into my life. He has surpassed all of my expectations. We became the best of friends, which has turned into a love that is unexplainable and undeniable! We found "real love" in each other and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him. Truly Soulmates!
