Just three days after our first anniversary, Ali completely surprised me with the most beautiful proposal. A friend asked me to hang out, but since it was our anniversary weekend, I told her no. She said no problem, she’d just ask Ali instead. A little later, She convinced me to dress up and go out for food and drinks. Ali offered to “drop me off and pick me up” because she was “helping her mom move.” Sounded perfect to me! We had a fun night out, even grabbed dessert, while Ali kept sending me photos of her moving with her mom and sister, I was totally clueless. Then Ali asked if our friend could bring me over to where they were. When we pulled up, our friend said they were by the lake. I thought it was a little chilly for that, but I went along.
