Lets start at the very beginning.... A small family business, Alaska Pony Rides, would run annually at the Alaska State Fair (shameless plug). Sariah, the business owner, allowed two eager sisters to volunteer on the weekends. In the early days of their volunteering, they were only allowed to scoop poop and bring water to the pony leaders. As time went on, the older sister lost interest in the family business, but her younger sister, Talyse, was more invested than ever before. Why? Because she had eyes for Sariah's oldest, hard-working son, Cole. This young love began with the brownies Talyse would bring each year - Cole LOVED them. He also had the most beautiful blue eyes and his jokes were funnier than anybody else's. Cole's mom was encouraging Talyse from a very early age to keep providing Cole with brownies and attention. She always told her "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach" and would often tell Talyse how good of a daughter-in-law she would be. Was this all trickery? Grooming?? Anything is possible.... Cole, however, despite Sariah's long-term scheme, showed absolutely no interest in Talyse until she was sixteen AND in another relationship. Sariah often would rope them into walking Cole's brothers around the fair, taking them on rides and getting them food. Try as he might, Cole's slight advances and flirty comments during these suspiciously organized expeditions would not work for many years to come. He would continue to wait for Talyse until the moment she was out of a relationship...he snatched her up right away! The beginning of their relationship was like a whirlwind of emotions, feeling like they were making up for lost time. Unknowingly, they had fallen into a long-awaited, undeniable, deep-rooted love for one-another. Cole revealed to Talyse just a few weeks into their relationship that had known for many years they were destined for one another, but never quite knew if the fairytale would pan out. As it turns out, fairytales that are orchestrated by God will transpire despite obstacles and doubts. Here they are, a very very long year later, enthusiastic to start their new life together! They are so thrilled to be able to share their special day with family, friends, and ponies - let us know if you can join us for this special event!
