It could be argued that Katrina and Paul are elementary school sweethearts. The details are easy to confuse, as there are many. And as a gift to everyone they love, here is the full story of how Paul and Katrina came to be:  Paul and Katrina did in fact attend the same elementary school. They were even in the same class rotation. Sadly, nothing came of it at the time and Katrina moved away for middle school (which was probably for the best due to Paul's obsession with cologne in middle school). They say they actually met when Katrina moved back in high school. One of the more famous Paul and Katrina high school memories is the one when they were biking and Katrina was riding with no hands (you may know where this is going). Paul then decided to steer her bike for her which then bucked Katrina head-over-handlebars resulting in a concussion (and a heart shaped scar on her hand). But don't worry, all was forgiven and they turned it into a pizza and movie night with Katrina's family. Paul and Katrina originally went to different colleges. Paul once drove 12 hours to surprise her for her birthday - Paul insists still as friends. To everyone's delight, they finally started dating on May 16, 2017 after doing a sprint triathlon together in Orlando. A year later, Katrina decided to pursue nursing at the University of Florida (conveniently where Paul was attending college). From there, Paul and Katrina's adventures continued together. Some honorable mentions: Spain for part of the Camino De Santiago, Alaska for a friend's wedding, road trips to Maine, Zion National Park with Caity, and the Grand Canyon - once with JP and the second time with friends!  When Paul graduated, he couldn't resist moving out to Denver with his best friend Devan. Katrina was still in Florida, and then COVID hit a year later. Paul and Katrina quarantined together in Florida with Katrina's family and when the worst of COVID slowed down, they were able to travel back and forth between Colorado and Florida. After Katrina graduated, she moved out to Denver to be closer to Paul, friends, and the mountains. They adventured even more than before! They had a road trip out to Glacier, countless road trips in Colorado, and they traveled to Canada and Alaska for ski trips with friends! On June 19, 2022, Paul recreated their favorite Colorado day and brought their siblings, who were visiting, along on a hike. At the top of the hike, he got down on one knee and proposed! Katrina was genuinely surprised and it didn't end there - back in Denver, there was a surprise engagement party with family and friends! The celebration of life and adventure continues. As many have been waiting since they were 5, Paul and Katrina will finally get married on October 22, 2022. And they cannot wait for you to join!
