We officially became acquainted with each other the day my cousin, Jessica, took me with her to attend Tallon's house party he hosted at his family home. He got my attention right away. He was funny, outgoing, and insanely charming. It wasn't hard becoming very close friends shortly after meeting each other. Then close friends turned into best friends and he has been my best friend ever since.
I remember it like it was just yesterday...We were enjoying each other's company laughing, smiling and hanging out together as usual. Then out of nowhere he paused for a moment and held my hand sweetly and without any hesitation he said, "I want to keep enjoying these moments with you, not just as friends anymore. I want us to be more than friends and enjoy moments like these with you everyday as my girlfriend." Of course how could I resist that? I told him I wanted the same! Just like that..the beginning of our lives together started.
As years passed one thing began to continuously race in my mind. One thing that I pondered about again and again that became a staple in the limbic system of my brain. This thought, rather this feeling that I had, was my unquestionable love that I had for Julie. 2 weeks after a great birthday of hers that we shared, one filled with Disney movies and the Chinese food of her choosing; I realized that time began to move at a much faster pace than before. I patiently waited for the opportunity to take Julie to the park of my old home where first hung out together, and gave her the cheesiest and most Caucasian type of speech describing my undying love for her. Looking back and remembering those cheeks of hers turn to the color of my hair, I couldn't have asked for a better result! I put a ring on it, and took her out with our friends who were meeting us to our destination well aware of what I had planned. This was the beginning of the rest of my life.
