We had our first date here & got engaged here! It's a great spot to watch the sunset, walk around in the park, or visit the neighboring Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, City Park Golf Course, or visit the boat house and rent a swan boat.
Iconic music venue with short trails for hiking, front range mountain views, and open to the public to enter the venue for free until 2 PM on nights of concerts, or until sunset if no concert. Fun fact, Tropidelic played here in 2025 and gave us a shout-out on stage for our engagement in front of +9,000 people.

Boulder is a great option if you're looking to stay near the venue. Things to do here: Walk or picnic in Chautauqua Park, visit NCAR, dinner and shops on Pearl Street, Boulder Farmers Market (Wednesdays and Saturdays), visit the roaring Boulder Falls, dine at one of their Michelin guide restaurants, or visit the historic Boulder Dushanbe Tea House.
Longmont is another great option to stay in that is close to the venue. Visit McIntosh Lake, Golden Ponds Park, Winners Circle (arcade bar, kid friendly), or many breweries and restaurants.
Lyons is another town close to the venue, and a great place to stay. Well known for its blue grass music and stunning views.
Estes park is home Rocky Mountain National Park, the Stanley Hotel, and lots of wildlife. Great lake and mountain views. Elk Fest is in Estes October 3-4, and there should be lots of elk in the area at this time of year. RMNP - You can drive through the park, picnic, or walk short lake trails, or see wildlife and go on hikes. Timed entry reservations are required along with a national parks pass, buy them early online at Recreation.gov. No timed entry pass is needed if you enter the park before 9 AM or after 2 PM.
Great town near the mountains. Lots of fun shops to visit, walkable city strip, and great restaurants. Drive up Lookout Mountain and see Buffalo Bill's grave. Drive through Golden Gate Canyon State Park. While you're in town, take a tour of Coors Brewery!
Black Hawk is well known for it's casinos, mountain views, and rich history.
