Our Love Story

Swipe Right

Krissy: I never would’ve thought I’d find my love story from a dating app. You think it’s cliche in the commercials and all but I found everything I wanted and needed in a person all through a little orange app called Tinder. He sent me a message saying “Hey beautiful 😏” and I replied with a “Hey handsome ☺️”. We spent the entire night sharing things about ourselves and our interest. I loved our entire conversation and it’s one of the memories of us I cherish the most. The start of it all. I never really believed in love at first sight, but I believe in knowing someone will become very important you. That’s the feeling I got from day one that this man was going to mean the world to me and til this day I still feel that way. I found a once in a lifetime love and I can’t wait to see where our journey take us. Josh: I didnt know what to expect on a dating app. But in 2016, my life instantly changed when I swiped right on a very beautiful girl. Interesting enough, she liked me as well and that whole night we talked about everything. I didn’t know what was going to happen between us, but I couldn’t stop talking to her. It finally hit me that I was in love with her, and till this day, I am still in love with her. Through everything, I have learned alot and I can’t wait to see where forever takes us.

For Real For Real

The Proposal August 17th, 2019

Our 3rd annual church picnic was that day. I told everyone what I was planning on doing and I was so nervous. And on top of that, it was raining on and off but I was so determined to do it no matter what. Funniest thing that day, before the picnic, Faith asked me can she start calling me Dad?! I panicked cause I thought Gabe told her! But it came from her heart which was the confirmation that it was meant to be. So we get there, and I am doing my best to avoid her so she doesn’t say I’m acting suspicious. Everyone started to get there and I went through the day trying to stay busy. I was such a wreck that I even forgot to put deodorant on!! Shout out to my cousin Jamie for running to the store to get me some. So finally, my mom called everyone in to do the soul train line and it was showtime!!! We were last, and my heart was beating out of my chest, I felt like I was wearing cement shoes cause I felt like I couldn’t move. So it was our turn finally. My sister, LaToya, changed the music to Bruno Mars-Treasure, and we started dancing down the line. But I stopped in the middle while she kept going, and she got to the end of the line with the biggest surprise! There, stood Gabriel, with a shirt that said “Will You Take Our Last Name?”(Made by my cousin Nikki) And as soon as Krissy read it, she turned around, and there I was on one knee. Before I could ask the question, she was trying to compose herself. She asked me, “For real, for real?” 30 times so I guess that was my way of asking lol but she said yes!!! Not only was the proposal for her, but Gabriel had a shirt for Faith that said, “Will You Be My Sister?” And a shirt for Jonathan that said, “Will You Be My Brother?” And of course they said yes!! Now, we get ready to make two families into one.....For real, for real 😁
