She’s always been her protector, voice of reason, and sometimes, partner in crime. Brianna has a sharp sense of humor and a way to make things funnier than they should be. Talise so grateful to have her standing by her side at the alter, on one of the most important days of her life.

Amelia, Talise’s cousin from Arlington, Texas, has been a constant source of love and laughter throughout her life. Growing up together, their bond has only grown stronger with time, built on shared memories, endless humor, and unwavering support. Amelia’s kind heart and joyful spirit make her someone who lights up every room she walks into. Talise feels incredibly lucky to have her by her side on such a meaningful day.

Megan, Talise’s best friend since freshman year of high school, has been such an important part of her life over the years. From playing softball together to growing up alongside each other, their friendship is built on countless memories and a genuine, easy connection. The two of them have been dreaming about and planning this day for years, ever since they were young girls. Megan has such a caring heart and is always there when it matters most, making her someone you can always turn to. She’s also been a constant source of advice and encouragement. It means so much to Talise to have Megan by her side on this special day.

Brittney came into Talise’s life through Josh’s groomsman, Peter Roper, and from the very beginning, the two quickly became friends. They bonded over their shared sense of humor and common interests, especially with Peter and Josh both working at the Norman Police Department. What started as a simple introduction turned into a meaningful friendship, and they’ve been attending church together every week since. Brittney is known for her humor and honesty, always bringing laughter while keeping things real. She also has a heart of gold, which shows through her work with the nonprofit organization Bethesda and the way she cares for others. It means so much to Talise to have her be part of such a special day.

Morgan is one of Talise’s closest friends and someone who brings a sense of calm wherever she goes. She is incredibly sweet, easygoing, and has the kindest heart. With her soft demeanor and positive outlook, she has a way of making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. No matter the situation, Morgan can always find the humor in it and bring a smile to those around her. Her friendship, support, and ability to brighten any moment make her such a special part of Talise’s life, and she is so grateful to have her standing by her side on this day.

Peter Roper

Peter Roper is one of those people who can make anyone laugh. His goofy personality and contagious smile bring energy and fun to every room he walks into. Peter and I met in 2022 while attending the Norman Police Department Academy, and we’ve been close friends ever since. Through the challenges, long days, and memorable moments we shared at the academy, a lasting friendship was formed. I’m so grateful for his friendship, support, and ability to always make the people around him smile.

Jason Jacques

Jason Jacques has a way of keeping things entertaining no matter what’s going on. Although Jason attended the Norman Police Department Academy before I did, we met afterward while working together at the department and quickly became close friends. Between working side by side and spending countless hours playing video games, our friendship grew naturally over the years. Jason is known for his sharp wit and dark sense of humor, which can bring laughter even during the most challenging times. Alongside his wife, Hayden, he has been a wonderful friend, and I’m grateful for all the memories, laughs, and friendship we’ve shared over the years.

Joshua Lee

Joshua Lee and I met in 2017 through the OU ROTC program, where we went through training in the same class and spent countless hours working side by side. What started as a friendship during our college years quickly grew into a lifelong bond. From spending evenings grilling, sharing a beer, and hanging out at my house to supporting each other through life’s highs and lows, Joshua has always been someone I could count on. He has a natural ability to make anyone laugh while also commanding a presence through his leadership, knowledge, and confidence. As a Captain in the Army, he continues to embody the dedication and character that have always set him apart. I was honored to stand beside him in his wedding to Rylee, just as he now stands beside me on one of the most important days of my life. I am incredibly grateful for his friendship and the many memories we’ve shared over the years.

Kyle Hicks

Kyle Hicks and I met at the Norman Police Department, where he quickly became more than just a coworker—he became a mentor and a great friend. From the beginning, Kyle took me under his wing and helped shape me into a better police officer through his guidance, experience, and support. Somehow, the two of us also developed a reputation for speaking crazy calls into existence and then inevitably ending up on them together. Outside of work, we’ve shared plenty of time playing video games, enjoying a drink, and making lasting memories. Over the years, Talise and I have grown especially close with Kyle, his wife, Dyanna, and their two daughters, Emmy and Isley. We are honored to have Emmy and Isley as our flower girls, making this day even more special. Whether he’s offering advice, making us laugh, or bringing his famous homemade salsa to the table, Kyle is the kind of friend who makes life better for everyone around him, and we are incredibly grateful to call the Hicks family our friends.

Joseph Stonehocker

Joseph “Joey” Stonehocker and I have been friends since the fifth grade. We grew up going to school and church together, and from an early age became nearly inseparable. Many of our summers were spent bouncing between each other’s houses, finding new adventures and making memories that have lasted a lifetime. Joey has always been someone who embraces challenges and seeks out adventure, and there’s never a dull moment when he’s around. Throughout the years, he has been a constant source of support, always encouraging me, lifting me up, and pushing me to be better. Growing up, we developed a shared love for shooting sports, and to this day, a little friendly competition between us is never far away. I was honored to stand beside him as his best man when he married Joy, and I am grateful to now have him standing beside me on one of the most important days of my life. His friendship has been a blessing for many years, and I look forward to many more adventures ahead.

Dustin Crawford

Dustin Crawford has played a significant role in Josh’s life as both a mentor and a friend. Long before becoming his mentor on the SWAT team, Dustin invested in Josh as a man of faith, providing wisdom, guidance, and encouragement that helped shape the man he is today. Over the years, their friendship has grown through serving together, working side-by-side on building projects, and spending time with Dustin’s family. Josh has been blessed to grow close to Dustin’s wife, Rebecca, and their daughters, Anna and CJ, who are also serving as flower girls in the wedding. Dustin’s impact has been seen not only in Josh’s life but also by Talise, as his faith, character, and leadership have influenced their relationship and the foundation they are building together. It is a great honor to have someone they both respect and admire officiating their wedding day.
