Our love story began on New Year’s Eve of 2018 in Atlanta, Ga, where two friends introduced us at a small gathering. At the time, Xavier was living in Dallas but had returned home for the holidays, while Bri called Atlanta her home. A year later, on New Year’s Eve of 2019, fate brought us together again. This time, we spent the evening talking and dancing, and exchanged numbers before saying goodbye. Just a few days later, we went on our first official date, despite Xavier still living in Dallas. He flew back to Atlanta for a few more dates, but by our third date, Covid changed everything and kept him in Atlanta. On March 10, 2020, Xavier asked Bri to be his girlfriend—and the rest is a beautiful journey we'll cherish forever.
After months of planning, the day finally arrived—June 8th, 2024. We drove to the Château Élan for a wine tour, but Xavier had something much more special in mind. After the tour, he suggested, “There’s a private vineyard in the back where no one really goes. Let’s take some pictures there.” Unbeknownst to Bri, family and a photographer were secretly waiting in the secluded vineyard with champagne in hand. As we walked further in the vineyard, Bri was greeted with smiles, a barrel adorned with wine and glasses, and an unforgettable surprise. In that special moment, Xavier got down on one knee and asked Bri to marry him.
