How We Met

01.27.2020

In January of 2020, Talia moved from Connecticut to Massachusetts to start a new job. On her very first day in the office, her boss at the time begged her training off on an unsuspecting, and rather busy, Ryan. Though Talia was as funny and charming as always and Ryan was kind and knowledgeable, a love connection was not made that day. Talia was a little smitten. Ryan was a little behind in his work. And, COVID decided it was best that the two wait another two years to talk to each other again. In late January of 2022, Talia was gathering suggestions for a co-worker’s birthday present. Ryan was the first to reach out and offer help. The co-worker’s birthday came and went, she was very happy with her presents, and Ryan and Talia kept talking to each other. Shortly after, when their budding romance had outgrown the confines of Microsoft Teams, Ryan asked for Talia’s cell phone number, even though it was in her email signature, which Talia liked very much. Their official first date took place on February 11, 2022 and they’re very much looking forward to their future together.

The Proposal

08.05.3023

On a hot, beautiful Saturday afternoon Talia and Ryan were driving home, so she could lay down to ease a stomachache. Ryan suggested stopping by upcoming Wollaston Beach in Quincy to give Talia a chance to get some fresh air. Though she initially objected, Ryan pulled into a parking spot and after a lot of coaxing he managed to pull her out of the car. Distracted by the way she felt, Talia thought it was weird when Ryan started telling her how wonderful the past 18 months had been, she thought it was even weirder when Ryan bent down to one knee and proposed. After Ryan reassured Talia that this was, in fact, real, she said yes. Talia’s stomachache now miraculously healed, Ryan took her to the Boston Harbor Hotel for a lovely weekend getaway. They went to an amazing dinner at Reef and ended the evening with a moonlight cruise of the Boston Harbor. It was perfect.
