World Offshore Powerboat Races
The annual powerboat races are happening all week prior to our reception. It's unreal to see boats hitting 180mph right offshore from Key West. Look out for the "World's Fastest Boat Parade" where you can see these close-ups. They keep them at Truman Waterfront park, where they have vendors, live music, and fun to be had. There are a ton of great vantage points for the races, but we love Lagerheads, Mallory Square, and Sunset Pier.
Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park
I believe it's about $12/car. We love setting up on the beach, tossing up a hammock, and eating some Sandy's Cafe. One of the nicer beaches in town. It is trash-in, trash-out so make sure you bring a little bag.
Duval Crawl
1.25 mile walk filled with bars, local art, handcrafted jewelry, outlet stores, more bars, and great food. Duval street it the main artery of commerce for Key West. If you make it to the end, ensure you see the Southernmost Point Bouy at the Southernmost Point Bar - The mojitos legendary.
Old Town Trolley Tours Key West
Jump on and jump off ALL DAY! A great way to see all of Key West, hear a little history and traverse the city. Check out the routes and plan out a great day.
The Hemingway Home and Museum
See the famous 6-toed cats. Cool place to stop by and visit their gardens.
Sugarloaf Jumping Bridge
This is a fun and free Key's experience! Park where it's legal, and it's a short 5-minute walk to the bridge! One of our favorite places to take friends when visiting! Photo of Mike :)
Mallory Square
Head over for sunset! See the street performers, vendors, and tourists as the sunsets over Sunset Key.
Key West Lighthouse
A great place to get the full view of Key West. Read a little about why the lighthouse is inland now. You may find Mike Anhalt there training to be a keeper.
Mel Fisher Maritime Museum
Hear the unexpected story of Mel Fisher finding the 1622 wreck of the Nuestra Señora de Atocha. Find out the history of the coin that locals wear around their necks.
Skydive Key West
Jump into paradise. See the Keys from a new angle and experience the thrill of jumping. We did this as a date in 2021 and both of us made it to the ground :)
Charter a Boat!
See why people love the waters around Key West. We suggest hiring a guide since we won't be able to come to push you off that hidden sandbar. They should have some poles and bait, you bring the beer. Owned by family!
Fury Ultimate Adventure
The "Ultimate Adventure" in Key West. One ticket gets you a catamaran ride, parasailing, aqua park, jetski's , and more. A fun water-filled day for everyone.
Pickleball/Tennis
We don't discriminate. You may catch Landon here playing some tennis or sneaking over to the darkside for some pickleball. A great local community is out here everyday playing on our updated courts. Bring a paddle!
Key West Aquarium
A unique little spot on the end of Duval street.
Butterfly and Nature Conservatory
Next to the Southernmost Point Bar, visit the Butterfly and Nature Conservatory. Lots of impressive plants, flamingos, birds, and vibrant butterflies!
