Talia and Dan met on a tropical island. Dan lost his belongings and ID, forcing him to stay another night, while Talia was training under the island’s famous luau grill master. They met in line for the bathroom and the rest is history. or... Talia and Dan met at a dive bar in Koreatown, Los Angeles, where Dan was DJing. Talia was there hanging out with girlfriends. They sat down next to each other at the bar, said hi, and haven't stopped talking since.

After years of happy noodle-eating together, Talia and Dan decided to travel to the China to see the sacred pandas. After many stops at temples and dumpling shops, they made it to the panda sanctuary. In the middle of the bamboo forest, with baby pandas on their laps, Dan proposed to Talia. or... On a sunny afternoon in Los Angeles, Dan suggested that the two of them go hang out at Echo Park Lake where they had spent many evenings doing acroyoga with friends. They arrived at the lake and decided to rent paddle boats. When they got to the middle of the lake, Dan proposed by pulling the ring out of a yoga bag. Talia said yes, and they paddled back to shore!
