Things to do

(as told by Jake)

Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy

272 South Bryn Mawr Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010

Where it all started.

Philadelphia Museum of Art

2600 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy, Philadelphia, PA 19130, Philadelphia, PA 19130

If you're wondering where we took those iconic prom pics. They also have art.

Rodin Museum

2151 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130

A pay-what-you-want sculpture museum featuring the largest collection of Augustus Rodin's work outside of France. One of George's favorites!

Liberty Bell

526 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106

Not many things existed before Jake and Talia started dating, but this is one of them.

National Constitution Center

525 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106

Jake thinks this is cooler than Talia does.

Barnes Foundation

2025 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130

Jake, the cool kid, likes impressionist art? Why yes, yes he does.

Cynwyd Heritage Trail

Cynwyd Heritage Trail, Bala Cynwyd, PA

A great place to walk during a global pandemic when you need to get away from your family. Probably a great place to walk other times, too.

Valley Green

6885 Forbidden Drive, Philadelphia, PA 19118

Another Gordon family favorite for leafy green walks. We have no jokes about this one. It's just lovely.

Boathouse Row

1 Boathouse Row, Philadelphia, PA 19130

Jake and Talia know nothing about boats. They do like these pretty houses.

South Street

South Street, Philadelphia, PA

There are definitely funky stores. We think there are also cheesesteaks, but Jake has celiac and Talia doesn't eat red meat so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Reading Terminal Market

1136 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107

Reading Terminal Market advertises itself as "one of the oldest public markets in America." We agree, there is no better way to convince people a food market is sanitary than emphasizing its age. But it's actually wonderful. Just try to avoid the rusty nails. Kidding! It's great.

El Vez

121 South 13th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107

Jake took Talia here on one of their first dates, wooing her with his uncanny knowledge of their various nacho and guacamole offerings. This weekend is proof it worked.

The Franklin Fountain

116 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106

In a very real sense, this ice cream shop opened in 2004. But in an imaginary sense, it opened in 1915. And that's what matters.

La Colombe Coffee Roasters

130 South 19th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

"La Colombe, that probably started in New York" - you, a simpleton, not knowing La Colombe started in Philadelphia.
