Florence is a city made for walking, with its cobblestone streets and iconic landmarks like the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio easily reached on foot. For longer distances, the city’s efficient bus system is a great option. Taxis are readily available but can only be picked up at designated taxi stands or booked by phone—hailing one directly from the street isn’t common practice. Uber also operates in Florence, though primarily as a premium service through Uber Black. For a touch of local charm, consider renting a bike or a Vespa to navigate the city’s picturesque streets. No matter your choice, exploring Florence is a joy in itself!
